A lovely post-concert report from Ian Assersohn of the Concordia Singers in Crawley, where a team of our soloists took the stage for Haydn's Mass in time of war and Jenkins' The Armed Man: "I just wanted to let you know that Lucy (Knight), Janet (Shell), Paul (Austin Kelly) and Njabulo (Madlala) were absolutely terrific at the Hawth concert this evening. As you know I was only conductor for half of it, and there wasn’t a huge amount (for the men especially) for them to do in my bit, but I was in the audience for the Haydn and I have to say they did a great job in both works. And what a delight they are to work with.
Please pass on my thanks and admiration and say I hope that I get the opportunity to work with each of them again soon."
